Having been failed by M&S, Jollys, Debenhams and others in trying to find a Fedora, I was directed by a young man in another shop to this shop. The daughter of the mother and daughter partnership gave me outstanding service, nothing was rushed, the chosen hat was not quite the size I needed and she stretched it for me to be a comfortable fit. As a non smoker I did not detect the slightest suggestion that anyone had been smoking, as an earlier reviewer suggested. I shall not hesitate to return as and when necessary and will and indeed have recommended the shop to others. AlanHale

My daughter and I went specifically to The British Hatter to purchase several hats for Royal Ascot & Henley, plus numerous weddings we have this year! Dianna couldn’t have been more helpful and patient with us. She is an absolute angel and helped us with hats for all our outfits. The shop gets very busy, but Dianna helped everyone and didn’t push anyone into buying something that they didn’t want or need. I can’t speak highly enough of Dianna and this wonderful little shop.

This was my first time in a British hat shop. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, making my shopping experience totally enjoyable and fun.

This is a fabulous shop. And the lady that served us, could not have done amy more for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble and she was happy to let us try many, many hats until we found the correct cap for my husband. Thank you. And I love my beret!
